Jeff Green gets first BGN Victory in Inaugural
Las Vegas 300

Jeff Green drove an unsponsored Diamond Ridge Motorsports Chevrolet to his first visit to Victory Lane after his 100th Busch Grand National start.
Green battled veterans Dick Trickle and Todd Bodine late in the race to get to the front.

Rookie Kenny Irwin Jr. wins his First Truck race at Homestead

Irwin was surprised to have won so early in his career. A late-race shoot-out had several drivers battling for the victory.

Two serious accidents in turn one at Homestead sent drivers to the hospital. John Nemechek was critically injured when his truck slammed driver door first into the outside wall. His condition is stable, but a deep brain bruise still poses serious problems.
